It has been relatively quiet on the nest with each parent rotating incubating shifts. The anticipated weekend rain never came until Monday late afternoon. The female stayed on the nest throughout the intense showers and protected the eggs. This year the ospreys look more relaxed and are doing a great job of taking care of their eggs.

They are doing a great job. If this nest fails it will not be from lack of team work!! It looks like they have stopped at 3 eggs, a perfect number and perfectly spaced.

is that one of the eggs on the outer part of the nest? It looks like one of them has been pushed aside.

No, the object towards the outside edge of the nest left of center is actually a piece of wood. The three eggs are still located in the center of the nest. From a distance the object does have the appearance of a mottled osprey egg, but it is only a piece of wood.

There was a crow on the nest a little while ago, I hope they don't start pestering the nest!

Well, our feathered friends seem to have settled in nicely. Their job looks a little boring right now, but guess they need all the rest they can get until the chicks arrive.
