Benecio is back to work bringing sticks to the nest and arranging them. He was calling out, but Bella did not appear nor did the intruder. With any luck this weekend's warmer and calmer weather may provide Benecio an opportunity to get the nest in order and give our couple the chance to get down to the business of raising a family.

The photo gallery has been updated this morning with the lastest pictures.

I am sure it will work out.. I am staying positive for our couple.. the weather hasn't really been on their side either.. while we are waiting you can go to this link:

and watch the eagle couple. They have three eggs. Last year they raised three babies. They are very beautiful to watch.

Poor Benecio. Trying to keep two females happy has to be a daunting task. Let's hope he sticks with Bella and their nesting place here. I wonder what will happen to Bella if they have mated but no nest is ready?

Hey Vivian,

We agree with Benecio staying with Bella. Not sure what will happen if she does lay eggs and the nest isn't ready. They could look for another vacant nest in the area. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Beth,

We didn't see any interaction with the intruder due to being in a meeting.

I don't think it is a good sign when a group of crows is in the osprey nest. That is who is visiting this morning. But it does look like there might be a little more nesting material there today.

I saw one of them bring in a stick just a few minutes ago. I believe it was Ben...

To my untrained eye appears that quite a bit of progress has been made on the nest!!

Yep, quite a bit of activity on the nest yesterday and again this morning. I guess it is Benecio and he is working hard today bringing and arranging nesting material. Looks like he's on a mission! Perhaps Bella told him he needed to quit fooling around. It is hard to tell, but looks like he is even putting some stuff on/over the hole. There's hope!

I have been seeing crows in the nest for the last two days. I wonder where Bella is??

As D from Canada mentioned the nest is beginning to take shape, which is fantastic. Benecio has been working hard and the weather is cooperating as well.
I did see two ospreys on the nest early this morning, but have only seen Benecio in the last hour or so.

I'm delighted ... I've seen them both on the nest at the same time, more than once this morning.

I'm assuming it's THE couple and that they are now working as a team again.

There are two ospreys on the nest right now (3:17pm). One is at the bottom of the screen. Hopefully it is B & B and the nest is really taking shape. The hole is still there but I'm sure they will take care of that soon. One just flew off. I'm so excited!!!!

Forgot to ask...any way the camera can be positioned to see the entire nest? I realize with their presense now that it would not be possible.

Mary Pat,

At the time the camera was installed on the tower we had more communication's equipment at the top and were unable to position it further back. We are considering moving it in the future, but we have to design a bracket that will not interfere with existing equipment on the tower.
