Not much going on with Bea and Jasper at the moment. They are bringing in a few items to the nest, but neither is doing much to gather the nesting material together to create a bowl shape for potential eggs. Guess housekeeping is not one of their strong suits.

Hi
could someone go up and remove the stick?
Because they are nest building and have not laid any eggs, it wouldn't distrupt the pair.
Oh oh, wasn't housekeeping a problem last year? I know the couple had a lot of work to do getting a nest ready last year. At least they are bringing material to the nest. Hope the bowl develops soon, especially if they have started mating.

Actually, I think that big stick is right where the bowl should be. Seems a little difficult to work around it. I wish they would just pull it out and throw it overboard.

I am concerned that they will build on top of the'flag pole' and then it is pulled out and dislodges the entire bowl.
I think our feathered friends will manage just fine with the materials they brought to the nest.
Let's let nature take it's course and enjoy watching how the birds deal with it.
We know from last season that this pair has difficulties with nest building. I think the stick is a natural for them - why do anything the conventional way.
besides the nest...
beautifully done blog page!
Wish there was a way you could indicate that there is a new blog without having to open the link.

Check this out. I was hoping someone would register this nest. I did not want to register without permission.
