GV and RJ are approaching 4 weeks of age and are progressing nicely. The nest fared well from Beryl during Sunday's high winds, but it appears that we are in for round 2. Tropical Depression Beryl is passing by so fishing may bit a little difficult for Jasper today.  Though, as of this post, Jasper just brought in yet another flounder.

What a good provider Jasper is. Instincts keeping him one step ahead of incoming weather.

Wonderful closeup of Bea and the babes this morning. Thanks to the cam person. Looks like they all fared well during the storm.

Amazing that the chicks' talons are almost as big as Bea's.

Since we've been watching the ospreys with the cam since 2007 I'm still amazed at their transformation. Nature is amazing to watch and to get a close up view from all the web cams across the world is fantastic. Each osprey family that we have had on our nest is so different so one never knows what to expect.

I have been out of town for 2 weeks and can't believe the difference in the chicks - totally transformed. Jasper is a great provider, and Bea is a mom who distributes equally. A model for all of us.

It is awesome to be able to experience nature so personally with all the web cams. I know I have become addicted and do a "head count" every day on the ones I watch. I have had to limit myself to just a few. Bea & Jasper are one of my favorites. Thank you for providing this experience for us!!

The 3 Decorah, IA eaglets are also fun to watch. They will be brancing soon, I think.

It is amazing how big both GV and RJ are. So glad both have done so well.
Like Carol, I have been watching the Decorah bald eagles. Another great learning experience.

One of the chicks is trying out his wings this afternoon. They'll be fledging before we know it. So much fun to watch the development.

Looks like the camera is out. While walking on the beach this morning, I saw an osprey swoop into the ocean, catch a fish, and fly over the Westin. Looked like he was on his way to "our" nest.

They are huge - they grow so much overnight !!!

Poor babies are getting soaked. The Island has had several downpours since yesterday and almost no sunshine. Should start to clear up tomorrow. I know their downy feathers--and Bea and Jasper--will keep them dry enough.
