Looks as if Bea and Jasper got tired of the fighting and gave GV and RJ their own fish. Though we just saw GV go over to RJ and peck him/her a few times even though GV has its own fish and now just stole RJ's fish. RJ just can't catch a break with GV.

Survival of the fittest. Hard to watch, but similar to putting together a Christmas gift: "parts included within" ???

Glad that they seem to be holding their own.

Just came on in time to see GV & RJ "wingersizing" in the rain. They look like they're having a blast! Proud Bea standing watch with them.

It is amazing how fast they grow. They look as big as their parents now.

Looks like they are enjoying much nicer weather today.

Has anyone been keeping up with the Osprey nest in Kentucky, keepky.org? In the early part of this week there were three juveniles on that nest, this morning there are none. Does anyone know what may have happenened there?

Hey Tim,

We have not been monitoring the Kentucky nest.

Most likely the chicks in the Kentucky nest were taken out of the nest, one each night, by Great Horned Owls. So says Ed Ray, KEEP Director. It was so sad see each day that a chick was gone--especially this morning when the nest was completely empty. Ed does not think the adults will stay in the nest but will move closer to the lake for the rest of the season.
