Great pictures moderator! I'm guessing the first few are of the intruder(s)? Where (what date) do the pictures start of Jasper? Thanks!

The first pictures are from today with Bea and Jasper. The gallery pictures will begin with the most current and go backwards.

Photos of Jasper begin February 7th.

Sorry, when I said "the first few" I meant beginning with the earliest date, 1/16/14. Thanks for answering that pictures of Jasper start at February 7.
I'm anxious to take a look tonight when it's dark and can see if those holes in the nest have been filled in. Bea and Jasper have brought in lots of filler.

Looking forward to this season! Are they back earlier this year?

Hello RCL,

No, Bea and Jasper arrived about this time last year, though in 2012 they arrived in January.

With warmer temperatures this week the pair should be quite comfortable and make nest repairs.

Thanks for joining our sight and enjoy the ospreys!!!

At night, when the lights from below the nest show through, it has been easy to see where more filler material was needed. This evening, it looks like Bea and Jasper have filled in all the gaps! Nest is looking great, so we're ready for some eggs!!

It looks rather smokey around the nest this evening. I hope it's just fog. Bea and Jasper need to be extra careful or they'll be crash landing. :-))

Speaking of photos, I got a neat one last night. Bea was standing on the post and the red light came on just as I snapped the pic. It looks like we have a PINK osprey. Tried to post it here, but couldn't.

Pine cone for Bea front and center.

Agree Vivian. They pair has been steadily mating and continue to reinforce the nest.

Yes both Jasper and Bea, mostly her, has an affinity for pine cones.
