Hey Beth,

With three days apart we could definitely witness the older chick dominating over the remaining chicks, taking the available food and forcing the remaining chicks to eat scraps or worse to starve to death. Hopefully THAT won't happen.

Yipee! And right on schedule. I hope and pray that at least two survive.

Hope that all goes well for three little chicks. It will be a job keeping them fed and protected. But Bea and Jasper can do it!!

Vivian, I think sibling rivalry will be more of a problem if all three eggs hatch. Doubt that all 3 will survive.

Is it just me, or have others noticed that Jasper is spending more time on the nest this year? He's a good husband and father, no doubt.

Mod, I just went to the gallery. I can't find a good picture showing the difference between Bea & Jasper, frontal view. I have tried to capture one myself but have not gotten it yet. Perhaps you can help!
